Fastenings for ventilated façades: post-installed vs. in-situ fastenings Ventilated façades are an ideal system to achieve high standards of thermal and acoustic insulation, favouring the energy efficiency of the building and the comfort of its interior. To maximise their performance and ensure a safe installation, it is essential to choose an appropriate fastening system for the type of cladding used (ceramic, stone, metal, composites...) or the type of installation. It is important to be familiar with the specifications of each product and to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of each system.
Anchors for ventilated façades can be classified into two main groups:
- Post-installed anchors: These are installed once the concrete has set, by perforating the base material. Although they support a lower load than in-situ anchors, they offer greater versatility to modify the initial approach. Within this group, chemical anchors (MOPOSE, MOEPSE or MOPOLY), metal anchors (MTP or MTH) or plastic anchors (TNUX) are available.
- In-situ anchors: These are installed when the work is carried out, before the concrete sets. These anchors are integrated and embedded in the base material and are able to withstand heavy loads.
Fixings for insulation boardsOur catalogue also includes different types of fasteners for installing SATE insulation panels on different base materials. We have mechanical (AIS) and chemical (PU-EP) solutions for fixing panels made of materials such as expanded polystyrene, mineral wool, polyurethane (PUR), extruded polystyrene (XPS) or expanded cork. In addition, we have plastic anchors (TE) designed to fix light loads on these materials.
All our solutions have European tests or technical evaluations that guarantee their safety and effectiveness for different types of materials. If you need advice on choosing the right anchor or assistance with the calculation, you can contact our technical department on 941 272 137 or by e-mail sat@indexfix.com".
