In this second instalment of INDEX Academy, we demonstrate our range of hybrid (MS) polymers and their uses.

In this second instalment of videos on the INDEX Academy training site, we show you our range of hybrid polymers (also known as MS polymers).

The range consists of 6 mounting adhesives with the following characteristics:

- They are water-based solvent products.

- They are odourless.

- They release no isocyanates.

When would you most commonly use hybrid polymers over polyurethane? Whenever you are working in areas where there is water and any situation where you need the sealant to dry, cure and adhere quickly.

How to apply hybrid polymer sealant?

1.- Make sure that the surface you are working on is solid and clean.

2.- Cover the edges of the working area with adhesive tape for a neater finish.

3.- Always make sure that you cut the tube carefully before screwing on the nozzle.

4.- Make sure that the seal is wide enough and deep enough.

5.- Apply the product.

6.- Once applied, even out the sealant with an appropriate tool or, if you don’t have one, with a soapy finger.

7.- Remove the adhesive tape.
