The recent update of the MTP through bolt anchor certification brings improvements that reinforce its performance on site and expand its application possibilities in more demanding technical projects.
This technical review, part of its European Technical Assessment, incorporates improvements in three fundamental areas: mechanical strength, fire performance and compatibility with new construction materials.
Greater strength, greater safety, greater possibilities for use
With the new certification, improved technical performance has been validated and is now available in the current product.
One of the most significant new features is the 15% increase in shear resistance across the entire carbon steel range: MTP, MTP-X, MTP-G and MTP-AT.
This improvement ensures greater safety in applications subject to transverse stresses.
Another improvement is fire performance. MTP now offers more than 200% improvement in fire resistance, based on actual fire tests in an official laboratory. This change provides certified data, which is particularly useful in installations with specific fire requirements.
Finally, with the new approval, we guarantee that the entire range of MTP anchors can also be installed in fibre-reinforced concrete structures, thus expanding their field of application.
Technical reliability with backing
The new approval of the MTP male anchor range not only implies an improvement in the product, but also a technical guarantee for specifiers, installers and site managers.
The European Technical Assessment (ETA) certifies that the product complies with the essential requirements of safety, performance and reliability defined at European level, especially in cases where there is no applicable harmonised standard.
The improvements have already been implemented in all products in the MTP range and are reflected in the technical data sheets, which are available for consultation or download. See the MTP range
