THE concrete screw expands its possibilities following the update of its certification

The new certification for THE concrete screw introduces improvements that facilitate installation in seismic environments and reinforce safety.

The new certification for THE concrete screw introduces improvements that facilitate installation in seismic environments and reinforce safety in demanding technical projects.

The recent update to its European Technical Assessment (ETA) incorporates new features that expand its range of application and guarantee reliable performance in critical conditions.

More installation options, greater safety in seismic environments

With the new THE approval, additional depths are validated, optimising installation in cracked and non-cracked concrete:

  • New reduced depths approved in diameters M10, M12 and M16 for seismic C1, ideal for applications where space is limited.
  • New large depths approved in M16 for seismic C1 and C2, offering greater resistance in projects subject to extreme loads.

These improvements provide greater safety in structural and non-structural installations, meeting the most demanding requirements for areas at seismic risk.

New approved cleaning procedure

In addition to the usual cleaning with a blower, THE’s ETE now approves cleaning with a drill bit in specific situations, reducing assembly steps and execution times:

  • Horizontal holes (wall): simply drill a few millimetres deeper than the installation depth. This allows the dust to settle at the bottom and not interfere with the fixing, avoiding the use of a blower or brush.
  • Ceiling holes: no additional cleaning is required, as gravity expels the dust during drilling, allowing the screw to be fixed after drilling the hole with the drill bit.

Technical safety with European backing

The European Technical Assessment (ETA) certifies that THE concrete screw meets the essential requirements for safety, performance and reliability defined at European level, especially for products without a harmonised standard.

This new approval not only implies an improvement in the product, but also a technical guarantee for specifiers, installers and site managers.

Save up to 45% of installation time

In addition to the approval improvements, THE concrete screw saves up to 45% installation time compared to traditional anchors, while maintaining maximum reliability in cracked and non-cracked concrete.

The new features are already implemented in the product and reflected in its technical data sheet, available for consultation or download. Access the THE concrete screw data sheet.
