It is totally voluntary and based on market consensus to develop construction projects focused on high energy efficiency.
This certification, based on scientific standards, rewards the use of sustainable strategies in all building construction processes, from pre-work on the building site to efficient use of water and energy, selecting sustainable materials and providing indoor environmental quality.
In addition to building certifications, the system offers accreditations of professionals who have completed sustainability training.
To evaluate the LEED certification of a building, a set of data regarding chemical anchors and the level of volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted into the atmosphere must be submitted, in order to guarantee they meet the required parameters.
