Wood connectors
Connectors or connection systems for wooden beams, suitable for connecting two elements of a structure, giving high resistance and ductility. They allow great versatility in assembly, as well as quick and easy construction, adapting to all types of angles or complicated situations. We have a wide range based on the necessary requirements, such as supports, brackets, clamps, splints or feet (anchors for posts). Suitable for the construction of coverings, pergolas, porches, interior structures, garden structures, enclosures or fences.
Fittings for timber beams and other structures
Timber connectors group together elements whose purpose is to provide a strong connection between different wooden parts of a structure with each other or with other materials. Although you will find many options at INDEX, you must take into account the climatic situation faced by the structure and other factors such as the inclination to be supported in order for the installation to be perfect.
Our range of timber fittings is ideal for the construction of strong timber structures that are difficult to nail, as well as for joining timber to iron and concrete structures. If you are thinking of building a deck, a pergola or a porch, choose from all our products the connector that best suits your needs: brackets for wooden beams, anchors for wooden posts, brackets for wood or wood plates. With all of them you will save time and work, achieving a pre-assembled structure with a perfect finish.
When choosing the right timber fittings, the coating (galvanised, bichromated, Atlantis C2-L or stainless steel A2 and A4) must be taken into account to cope with the weather conditions at the time of installation. There are different service classes which divide the materials into three categories depending on the moisture content in the materials, the relative humidity of the air and whether the use is for indoor or outdoor use:
- Service class 1 comprises zinc-coated and bichromated products perfect for indoor installation. It is intended for materials with a humidity content corresponding to 20°C and a relative humidity of only 65% for a few weeks of the year.
- Service class 2 includes products with zinc-plated, bichromated and Atlantis C2-L coatings, which are ideal for enclosed, unheated installations. It is intended for materials with a moisture content corresponding to 20°C and a relative humidity of only 85% for a few weeks of the year.
- Service class 3 are those products with Atlantis C2-L coating and stainless steel A2 and A4 ideal for outdoor installations exposed to higher humidity situations than in service class 2.
