The new stainless-steel high-performance chipboard screw is specifically designed for outdoor timber structures

Logroño, June 12 2014. INDEX Fixing Systems, manufacturer and industrial supplier of fixing systems, launches the new TEX-A2, an A2 stainless steel high-performance chipboard screw specifically designed for wooden terraces and other outdoor timber structures. With the stainless steel version, the Spanish company broadens its offer of high-performance chipboard screws, that already contained the zinc-plated TEXZ and the yellow zinc-plated TEXZB versions.

The technical characteristics of the TEX chipboard screw make it the perfect solution for structural timber applications. Its high pitch allows a faster than usual drive, its helicoidal expeller throws the shaving out of the hole during the drilling, and its milling facilitates the installation of the screw by breaking the fiber of hard types of wood, while its serrated thread GSWR with irregular dentations on the first coils grinds them and reduces the installation torque. In addition, it has ribs in the lower part of the head, which generate a direct countersink during the installation of the screw.

The rust and corrosion resistant TEX-A2 is even more versatile, and ensures optimal performance in all exterior wooden structures such as decks and terraces.
