The use of technologies such as voice picking has enhanced the productivity and efficiency of INDEX Fixing Systems' warehouse management.

The course will be given by INDEX Fixing Systems’ ICT managers.

 Logroño, October 23, 2012. INDEX Fixing Systems, manufacturer and industrial supplier of anchors, screws and other fixing systems, along with the THINK-TIC (the Spanish national center for training on new technologies),  have organized  the course "New Technologies for Warehouse Management." The course, which will be held at the headquarters of THINK-TIC in Logroño from November the 19th to December the 4th, will be given by Javier Benito Cabezón, INDEX Fixing Systems’ ICT Manager, and Javier Llorente Somalo, director of WMS systems implementation projects at the Spanish company.

The course aims to provide students with a general knowledge of the new technologies available to improve warehouse management. There will be a practical approach to Warehouse Management Software (WMS), which will be installed in the classroom for students to practice its use in different case studies;  other tools like real time radio frequency control systems, voice picking or automated warehouses will also be presented. Most of these technologies have been implemented in large companies such as INDEX Fixing Systems for the past decades,  and finally in the last few years, have begun to become profitable investments for SMEs.

INDEX Fixing Systems is an example of innovation and cutting-edge technologies in the field of warehouse management, and its ICT Department has spent years on managing the implementation and application of new tools, which enhances the productivity and efficiency of the company. The two speakers, responsible for these projects, want to convey their success by way of example to owners of small and medium enterprises who are often reluctant to implement these new technologies for fear of no return on investments.
